Chikkamagaluru is the geographically a small district with beautiful nature and situated in the western Ghats. There are 8 Taluks and most part of the district is covered with hill station and only the eastern part of the district is covered with dry area. Chikkamagaluru district is rich in forest resources, hill stations, water resources. Major commercial crops like Coffee , Pepper, Arecanut, Coconut, food grains and vegetables are also grown in the district. Our District is having a pleasant climate and recognized as the World’s No II safest habitual place.
Chikamagaluru District Co-operative Central bank was registered on 25-Feb-1955 under reg no ARC 213/25-2-1955 and got the RBI license in the year 2011-12 with registered no RPCD(BG)DCCB 21/2011-12 dated : 15/12/2011 and working in the District. Our bank is serving the farmers around the district with 28 branches earning continuous profit. Chikkamagaluru DCC bank is appreciated by NABARD and recognized with ‘A’ grade.
All the branches are working under Core Banking system with advanced banking facilities like, ATM debit cards, RTGS/NEFT, SMS facility , Safe Locker and mobile banking and serving the customers with excellent service. The Management of the Bank is vested with Board of Directors consisting of 15 members under the Presidentship of Sri D S Suresh.MLA. Its our honour to say that Mr BelliPrakash MLA, Chairman of Karnataka State Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd is also a Director of our bank. Our bank is accepting the deposits with attractive interest rates. Bank is advancing Agriculture and Non-agriculture under different portfolios in time by providing PMFBY insurance facility. Our bank has made a remarkable progress since 1955. It has been reached 1063 crores deposits, and 1088 crores advances for the year end 2020-21. Bank is rewarded by NABARD and Apex bank for its achievement. Our Bank has maintained its position in the State with the co-operation and guidance of Board of management, customers, proper supervision, proper utilization of manpower, dedicated and honest service of the employees.
